As proud Lookout Valley High School alumni, long-time civic leaders, and local residents, our hearts have always belonged to this valley. We founded Heart of the Valley because we believe that the children growing up here today deserve every possible advantage.
Our goal is simple: to wrap this community's immense generosity around our local elementary, middle, and high schools. By providing enhanced resources, modern educational tools, and robust extracurricular support, we are ensuring that Lookout Valley students can stand shoulder-to-shoulder and remain fully competitive with their peers across Chattanooga and beyond.
We invite our neighbors, from Black Creek to the local Lions Club and all our fellow alumni, to join us in investing in the future leaders of our valley.
About Us
Heart of the Valley was born out of a shared love for our community and a desire to elevate the opportunities available to youth in Lookout Valley. Founded by a dedicated team of local civic leaders, passionate philanthropists, and Lookout Valley High School alumni, we believe that a community thrives when its youth excel.
By uniting neighbors, from the generous Black Creek community to local civic organizations like the Lions Club, we turn local resources into direct support for our classrooms, sports fields, and student wellness programs. We step in to add the extra layer of support that gives our hometown students a truly competitive edge.

A proud retired veteran, active member of the Lookout Valley Lions Club, and long-time community volunteer. Buddy has spent years managing local school food initiatives, ensuring no child in the valley goes hungry.

A well-known Chattanooga philanthropist and Black Creek resident. Lynn champions the organization's fundraising and development efforts, connecting generous local donors with tangible community needs.
Board Member
A Lookout Valley businessman, resident, and proud Lookout Valley High School alum (Class of '91). Mike has given back to the high school for years and is a long-time member of the Lookout Valley Lions Club and the Lookout Valley Neighborhood Association.
